Everyday, 7000 Indians are dying of hunger........Isn't it time YOU did something about it?

Welcome to Srishti Annam, a comprehensive feeding and skill building program for the poor. In 2006, the Srishti Foundation launched a program with a vision to eradicate hunger from this country. Since then, over 375,000 meals have been served at Annam, to the old, the destitute, the homeless and the needy. 150 meals are served every day, with love and compassion. And we must do more, much more...

India has more people suffering from chronic hunger than any other country. Over 300 million of its citizens reportedly go to bed without food every night, representing over a third of the estimated one billion hungry people across the world. One-third of the world's malnourished children are in India. Chronic hunger kills 7,000 people a day in this country. Yes, it IS time that we did something about it. more

The distinguishing feature of the Annam programme is that it brings the community together, and not just that it provides food and support to the hungry. Unlike other programs that address social needs, Srishti Annam has not been conceived as the sole responsibility of the organiser. more
